RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — One man is dead and another is charged with murder after a stabbing in southwest Raleigh Friday night, police said.

The incident was reported just after 9:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Crab Orchard Drive at apartments off Avent Ferry Road, according to a Raleigh Police Department news release.
Officers said preliminary investigation revealed that two men “were involved in an altercation” before the stabbing just east of Lake Johnson.
The victim, later identified as Matthew Bulloch, 36, suffered life-threatening injuries, according to officers. Bulloch was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died, the news release said…
