‘Tow Godz’ and Auto Glass Businessmen Charged in Carolina Fraud Schemes

Two Carolina businessmen were charged with auto insurance fraud in separate schemes that involved made-up tow truck charges and windshields that were never replaced.

In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, state authorities last week charged John Angulo, 46, the owner of Safe Pro Auto Glass, with submitting 13 claims to Allstate Insurance for auto glass that was never replaced, local news sites reported.

The allegedly false claims amounted to more than $38,000 and were submitted in 2024 and 2025, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said, according to WMBF news.
