MIDLAND, Mich. – Due to poor field conditions, Sunday afternoon’s game two between the Fort Wayne TinCaps (45-55, 18-16) and the Great Lakes Loons (55-43, 19-15) at Dow Diamond has been suspended in the top of the fifth inning.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at a to-be-determined date between Aug. 18-23 at Parkview Field. The game will resume in the top of the fifth inning with the ‘Caps leading 6-2. It will remain a seven-inning game.
After being suspended on Saturday night in the bottom half of the second inning, Fort Wayne held onto a 12-5 win once play resumed on Sunday. Before the game was suspended due to rain on Saturday night, the ‘Caps already led 7-0, helped out by a five-run first and two-run second inning…
