(WHTM) — Despite cloudy weather and showers, hundreds of people took to the Swatara Creek for the seventh annual Recovery Float in Dauphin County. It’s all a part of an effort from organizers to promote sobriety.
But why a float down a creek to promote sobriety?
“You know, most people think, well, I’ve got to be drinking beer to be floating down the river,” said Brady Maxton, President and CEO of New Insights II Inc. “You can have a great time doing it sober.
