NEWPORT NEWS, VA. (WAVY) — For years, Newport News based Ketchmore Kids has worked to take back the community by protecting and empowering the youth. Those efforts were on full display as they hosted the 5th annual Ketchmore Kids Weekend.
The event aimed to bring the community together through games, live music, vendors, and community organizations as they connected with families.
“We want to engage community, give them free stuff, give them access to education, legal stuff, all the things that may help the community thrive,” said Ketchmore Kids director of programs, Troy Ketchmore, “on this day, we come together, and we unify.
