WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Two children in Warwick who opened a lemonade stand to raise money for Rosemary’s Wish Kids received a surprise from the police department Saturday.
Colette Dyl and her brother, Michael, organized the fundraiser to help other children create lasting memories, just a few years after Colette’s own wish was granted.
Colette underwent major surgery in 2022 after being diagnosed with spina bifida. Because her tethered spinal cord went untreated, she later developed syringomyelia, a rare and life-threatening condition.
