BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — After a hot weekend, southwest Idaho gets a brief break from the heat today. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 80s across the Treasure Valley this afternoon, nearly 15 degrees cooler than the weekend. Breezy northwest winds will continue today, especially east of Boise, while wildfire smoke keeps skies hazy and air quality reduced.
