Lanier Islands Resort officially ushered in a new era for its golf program with the grand opening of the Mike Williams Golf Center and The Six, a new night-lit par-3 course, during a celebration held July 23 at Legacy Golf Course.
The event brought together community leaders, family members, friends and members of the media to unveil the resort’s newest golf amenities, which officials say are designed to further establish Lanier Islands as a premier golf destination in Georgia.
The Mike Williams Golf Center honors the resort’s former CEO, who led Lanier Islands from 2005 to 2023 and was instrumental in expanding its attractions and growing its golf program.
