Miami Woman Accused of Gun Threat on Boyfriend Bolts From Jackson Memorial ER, Cops Say

A 23-year-old Miami woman is accused of turning a relationship argument into a gun threat—and then turning a hospital exam room into an escape route. Kiara Joseph now faces multiple charges after authorities say she broke free from handcuffs at Jackson Memorial Hospital and was recaptured after a foot chase.

According to WSVN 7News, Joseph told officers she had been arguing with her boyfriend over alleged infidelity. Police said she approached him as he tried to leave, struck his arm, slapped his cellphone from his hand and damaged his property before the confrontation turned physical.

A witness told officers Joseph was carrying a handgun during the confrontation and made statements that she would kill everyone, according to the arrest affidavit.
