KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knox County Health Department has released updated information on cyclosporiasis, the parasite linked to “explosive” diarrhea cases across the country.

On Monday, Roberta Sturm, the department’s director of communicable and environmental disease and emergency preparedness, said there have been “a few additional cases” reported in Knox County. While the exact number was not given, she said most have been related to international travel.
