WMU leaders unveil Valley Oaks residence hall

Western Michigan University leaders celebrated the opening of new residence hall Valley Oaks during a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 29.

More than 1,000 first-year students are set to move in at the end of August.

“We are currently on the plot of land that used to be Valley three behind the Valley Dining Center,” said Director of Housing and Residence Life Roshona Porter. “It was a two-year building process; we wanted to involve the students and hear about what they wanted to see in a new building.”…
