On Friday, July 17, around 8:00 p.m., deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station received a notification from the License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera system for a vehicle connected to multiple theft cases across San Diego County.
Deputies located the vehicle in front of a department store located in the 100 block of S. Las Posas Road in San Marcos. Deputies detained Christian Soto (DOB: 03/17/2000), Brianda Aguilera-Carlon (DOB: 05/13/2007), and a 17-year-old juvenile inside the vehicle. During the investigation, deputies learned the suspects had just stolen $2,000 worth of merchandise from the department store. The merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. Deputies also linked the suspects to additional crimes across the county.
All three suspects were arrested on charges of grand theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Soto and Aguilera-Carlon were booked into the Vista Detention Facility. The juvenile was released to the custody of their parents…
