San Francisco police used pepper spray and a less-lethal projectile Monday while arresting a man accused of setting a fire close to a playground near the Panhandle, authorities said.
Firefighters were called at about 4:25 p.m. to a rubbish fire near Fell and Clayton streets, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. The fire was quickly extinguished.
