GERMANTOWN, Md. (7News) — At least one person is dead and multiple people are injured after a two-vehicle crash involving an overturned vehicle that caught fire Tuesday in Germantown, according to Montgomery County police.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Clopper Road and Great Seneca Highway around 5:30 a.m. Fire officials said the crash involved two vehicles, with people trapped inside each.
Crews rescued two people from the cars after quickly extinguishing a small fire in one of the vehicles.
MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer said multiple people were evaluated, with some suffering “traumatic injuries.” The severity of those injuries has not been released.
