City officials will soon consider a proposed rezoning of Crown Center that would make way for a future Royals ballpark district.
The rezoning plan, which covers much of Crown Center, would set standards that would guide future development in the area as the Royals plan to replace the current Hallmark headquarters with a new stadium.
The plan lays out where the stadium would go, areas where buildings could be built new or renovated and where there could be plazas.
