LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Two Las Vegas men have been indicted in separate cases and made their initial appearances in court after allegedly aiming laser pointers at Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department helicopters.
According to allegations in the indictments, James Bodie Moore III aimed the beam of a laser pointer multiple times at and in the flight path of a LVMPD helicopter on April 10. He is charged with one count of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft. If convicted, the statutory maximum penalty is five years in prison.
In a separate case, Jason Lamars Lee is accused of aiming the beam of a laser pointer two times at and in the flight path of a LVMPD helicopter on June 7. He is charged with one count of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft. If convicted, the statutory maximum penalty is five years in prison…
