LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin said on Tuesday that he has joined 16 other attorneys general in signing a letter asking for congressional action.
The letter asks Congress to pass the STOP FRAUD in Medicaid Act. Griffin said the act was needed because, under current law, his office is only empowered to investigate Medicaid providers, not Medicaid recipients, through its Medicaid Fraud Control Units (MCFUs).

In fiscal year 2025, his office’s MCFU recovered nearly $2 billion, Griffin said.
