Suspect in murder sentenced to 5 years in Waynesboro gun case

WAYNESBORO — A man who is already facing a murder indictment in Augusta County was sentenced to five years in prison on a gun charge in Waynesboro following a jury trial.

Anthony S. Washington, 47, of Waynesboro, was recently indicted by the Augusta County grand jury on a first-degree murder charge in connection with a Feb. 18 slaying.
