CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — As Clarksville continues to grow, city leaders are considering changes they say would better protect the city’s historic downtown while making it easier for future investment to move forward.
The proposal would expand Clarksville’s historic district to include more buildings already recognized for their historic significance while also updating development guidelines for other parts of downtown. Supporters say the goal is to preserve the city’s character without creating unnecessary hurdles for redevelopment.
