Bryan Kohberger, the man who was convicted of killing four University of Idaho students, apparently spent his Christmas Day in 2022 downloading and researching information about infamous serial killers, the People reports. Kohberger spent the holiday with his family and looked up about 20 serial killers throughout the night until the next morning.
Just days later, on December 30, 2022, he would be arrested in Pennsylvania in connection with the murders of university students. 31-year-old Kohberger now seeks to overturn his guilty plea and get a fresh trial.

Back in 2022, he reportedly downloaded information on multiple notorious serial killers like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Betty Lou Beets, Randy Kraft, William Lee, Danny Rolling and several others. Latah County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office brought in Heather Banhart, a digital forensics expert and SANS Institute Fellow, to aid the search of the convict’s hard drives and cell phone for any evidence, per The Sun.
Banhart successfully recovered the internet history and downloads, explaining that using an incognito browser does not grant absolute privacy, per the media outlet. While the 31-year-old successfully cleared the desktop and hard drive, he failed to do the same for his Android, leading Banhart to the discovery.
