San Diego County Health says four residents in the county have tested positive for West Nile Virus this summer.
They say one of the cases required several days of hospitalization, but no deaths reported in the county. However, the first two deaths of the year in the state have been reported in California’s Central Valley.
Vector Control is reminding residents to Prevent, Protect and Report. Remove standing water to prevent breeding, use repellant to protect from bites and report mosquitoes and dead birds.
