JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Mississippi Public Service Commission voted Tuesday to replace a resolution calling for a permanent federal water assistance program with one urging churches, businesses, and neighbors to help families struggling to pay their water bills.
The vote came after a public debate between two commissioners who agreed on the problem — but not the solution.
