Portland motorcyclist dies after head-on collision near Oregon Coast

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 55-year-old Portland motorcyclist died Saturday night after colliding head-on with another vehicle, Oregon State Police said.

The crash occurred just before 9 p.m. on Highway 30 near milepost 30 in Clatsop County.

According to investigators, Samuel Clutter was driving east near Timmerman Road near Astoria when he “crossed into the westbound travel lane while attempting to pass in a no‑passing zone,” then crashed head-on into a yellow Ford van…
