Court documents: Amarillo man laughed as teen shot victim at Thompson Park

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An 18-year-old Amarillo man laughed while his 15-year-old friend shot one person and threatened another with a gun at Thompson Park, according to court documents.

Nicholas Lee Picasso Jr. and the juvenile arrived at the park June 2 and began confronting the victims and their friends, investigators said. During a verbal fight, the teenager went to their vehicle, got a gun and threatened one person before shooting another, according to court records obtained by ABC 7 News.

Picasso stood beside the teen and laughed during the shooting, prosecutors allege. The two then ran back to their vehicle, and Picasso drove them away from the scene…
