Zelle and cash bargain buys: 18-year-old accused in electrical theft ring

San Antonio, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old man wanted in connection with an organized theft investigation involving electrical equipment.

Investigators say Anthony Roberto Marroquin Lumus was identified as part of a broader investigation into the alleged theft and resale of electrical materials and equipment.

According to the sheriff’s office, Marroquin Lumus is accused of purchasing and reselling electrical materials at below-market prices using cash and Zelle. Investigators also allege he worked for a local electrical company and helped unlawfully obtain electrical supplies from construction sites and suppliers…
