SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Costco planned at the Seminole Towne Center is expected to move closer to construction as Sanford Planning and Zoning considers the project’s signage plans.
The signage approval is the last remaining step before Costco can begin demolition at the Seminole County shopping mall, according to Economic Development Director Brady Lessard. He expects construction to wrap up nine months after it begins.
Costco is taking up just under 50 acres on the site, including a liquor store and gas pumps, at the former Macy’s. The warehouse is expected to be about 154,000 square feet…
