Syracuse, N.Y. – A Syracuse elementary school on the North Side was damaged by a fire Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived at Franklin Elementary School, 428 S. Alvord St., just after 4:30 p.m. to find smoke coming from the roof of the three-story building, Capt. Erik Caster, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Fire Department, said in a news release.
