Talks of transit, housing hub planned for former Indian Springs Mall site back on

Later this month, Wyandotte County’s Economic Development and Finance Commission will revisit a more than year-long conversation about revitalizing the former site of a defunct mall in Kansas City, Kansas.

After much back and forth, and at one point a recommendation to kill the project altogether, committee members voted this week to discuss the progress of the Midtown Station project, and a feasibility study associated with it, during an Aug. 31 public meeting.

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and KCK requested that firm PGAV Architects conduct a third-party study determining the true price tag and how do-able Eastside Innovation’s plans would be to redevelop the property…
