Lubbock County couple offers free retreat for pastors and ministers going through tough times

LUBBOCK, Texas — A pastor and his wife have started a non-profit called ‘The Barn Ministry,’ which is a free retreat for pastors and ministers going through a tough time to decompress and recharge while receiving encouraging words from the owners.

Pastor Michael and Deeann Page retired five years ago, and it was not in their original plans to make this getaway.

“God decided to take over; he moved in and just began to take the facility. It began to grow, and we started adding houses, rooms, and a chapel to minister and pastors that needed a break,” said Michael.

Lubbock flower farm blooms despite high costs, little rain

The non-profit became official in 2018, and since then, they have had over 500 pastors and ministers from all over the world come to their beautiful barn-style retreat home.

“I felt like it was a mandate from God that I needed to keep it at no cost, and that if I ever moved off of what he wanted, that he would take his blessings off of the facility,” said Michael…
