ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A new apartment building is hoping to address two growing needs in our community: affordable housing and mental health.
Mental health-focused nonprofit Independence Center opened Sidney R. Baer Jr. Place back in June. It sits on Forest Park Avenue in the city’s Central West End neighborhood right next door to Independence Center’s clubhouse, a facility that provides daily programming and other supports.
