A homeless man and a Parryville woman are facing felony charges after West Penn Township Police say they broke into a restaurant and stole property after entering through an unlocked window.
According to court documents, Jonathan Fable, 44, listed as homeless, and Emma Elizabeth Emrey, 21, of Parryville, were each charged on August 5 with two counts of burglary, two counts of criminal trespass, and one count of theft by unlawful taking in connection with the alleged incident that occurred on August 4.
Police allege the burglary occurred at Thunderhead Lodge, located along West Penn Pike in West Penn Township. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Chief Jason Lorah responded to the lodge after the owners reported an active burglary in progress. When officers arrived, the owners had already confronted a man and woman outside the building after reviewing surveillance footage. The owners told police the pair had entered the lodge through an unlocked window on the rear of the building. Police allege the surveillance video showed the pair walking through the lodge, opening doors to rooms and refrigerators, and eating pie and ice cream while inside.
