For more than a century, the familiar sound of train horns has echoed through downtown Plant City. While locomotives have changed over the years, the connection between the city and the railroad remains as strong as ever. At the Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum, volunteers are working to make sure that history continues to inspire future generations.
Located inside the historic 1908 railroad station, the museum serves as both a collection of local railroad history and an educational resource. According to Executive Director Lloyd Thomas, the museum’s primary mission is simple: education and introducing new people to the world of railroads.
