A popular pizza chain’s location in northern Los Angeles County has landed on an unenviable list.
During a routine visit, inspectors with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health found vermin at the California Pizza Kitchen on Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia, just east of Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Inspectors begin with a perfect score of 100 and deduct points for each violation they find.
The restaurant lost 11 points for the presence of insects, rodents, birds or other animals. Four points were deducted for unclean food-contact surfaces, and inspectors also cited food temperatures, water temperature and various facility-related issues…
