Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls, known for its shaved ice topped with handcrafted syrups and served in Chinese restaurant-style takeout containers, is opening its fourth stand in New Orleans — this time in City Park.
Housed in a trailer near the City Putt Miniature Golf Course, the sno-ball stand is expected to open “as soon as possible,” owner Neesa Peterson said, adding she hopes to have it operating within two weeks. The line-up will up feature popular natural flavors including lemon basil, strawberry basil, pineapple cilantro and watermelon jalapeño.
Peterson said she’s also bringing back several flavors from when the sno-ball stand opened in New York City in 2011. Among them is birthday cake, which she said is returning because she “really loves flavors that you can celebrate something with.”…
