CLEVELAND (WJW) — More than a decade after Aliza Sherman was murdered downtown Cleveland, potential new evidence has surfaced.
On July 31, defense counsel for the suspect in the case, Gregory Moore, gave the court a sealed envelope containing data and records from a cell phone Moore used in 2012 and some of 2013, prior to Aliza’s murder. Moore had been Aliza’s divorce lawyer, he is now charged with her murder. He is pleading not guilty.

The new information will now be reviewed by what is called a “taint team.” The team will determine what if any information from that phone can be given to prosecutors and what should be withheld.
Moore’s defense team had stated that an attorney who represented Moore in 2012, on charges that he called in bomb threats to local courts, had possession of the phone. That attorney had the phone extracted. The extracted materials were what was given to the court last week…
