Heavy rainfall in July brought devastating flooding to Central and South Texas — but it also brought relief to many long-struggling reservoirs.
As river flows increased from rain and runoff, water levels rose at several major water sources, including Canyon Lake, which filled for the first time in five years, and Medina Lake, which is at its highest level since 2021.
