BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Prosecutors have waived the death penalty as a sentencing option in the case of a man facing charges including first-degree murder in a shooting that killed a woman parked outside a Bakersfield restaurant.
Deputy District Attorney Jordan Houle said the District Attorney’s Office was not seeking the death penalty against Tyree Buckley, who allegedly fired shots that killed Jessica Lorraine Arevalos, 26, and wounded another woman in April of last year.
