Ground stop issued at DCA, BWI, IAD due to thunderstorms, gate constraints

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Ground stops were issued at all three airports in the D.C. area on Friday, Aug. 7.

Due to these orders, departures from the airports were grounded.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) issued a ground stop shortly before 4:55 p.m. due to thunderstorms. It was scheduled to end at 6 p.m.
