SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Drivers traveling along a busy stretch of Kentucky Highway 44 in Bullitt County will now have to slow down after the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet lowered the speed limit from 55 mph to 45 mph.
The change comes months after the Bullitt County Fiscal Court asked KYTC to reduce the speed limit because of the number of serious crashes along the corridor.
“It basically got started because of, we’ve had so many frequent accidents on Highway 44, and basically most all of them, when our sheriff’s department looked at them, were high speed,” said Bullitt County Judge Executive Jerry Summers…
