MONTGOMERY, Ala. (NBC 15)— The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals on Friday denied a request for rehearing from Marco Antonio Perez, leaving in place his capital murder conviction and death sentence for the killing of Mobile police Officer Sean Tuder.
The court previously upheld Perez’s conviction and death sentence on May 1, rejecting multiple claims raised as part of his automatic appeal.
With the request for rehearing denied, Perez may now ask the Alabama Supreme Court to review the case by filing a petition for a writ of certiorari…
