Mobile City Council to consider new city clerk

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile City Council will consider appointing Lana Pafenbach as city clerk, succeeding longtime City Clerk Lisa Lambert following her retirement.

Under the council-sponsored resolution, Pafenbach’s appointment would take effect Dec. 26, 2026.

Pafenbach currently serves as Mobile’s assistant city clerk and has worked in several roles within city government, including as a recording supervisor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Faulkner University.
