BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — A new sally port has been dedicated at the Baldwin County Courthouse in Bay Minette.
Prichard residents are refusing to municipal pay on water bills
According to a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, city and county officials held a ribbon cutting for the new facility on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The sally port allows inmates due in court to be brought in to an enclosed, secure garage-type area that has a dedicated entrance to the courthouse.
“This project represents an important investment in the safety and security of everyone who walks through our courthouse — from Sheriff’s Office employees and courthouse staff to members of the public, inmates, and our court system,” the post said.
