Grateful Dead-Inspired Stella Blue Opening in Myrtle Beach

Born in Huntington, NY, Stella Blue is a Grateful Dead-inspired restaurant serving up “Groovy Food, Chill Music and Great Vibes.” After becoming a major destination for Deadheads up North, the restaurant is preparing to make its debut in Myrtle Beach, at 170 Sayebrook Pkwy.

The restaurant opened its Huntington location in 2014, Robert Koopman, who is opening the Myrtle Beach location with Ann Koopman after selling the Huntington restaurant, told What Now on Friday.

“We opened it because we love food, we love that time period, we love the Grateful Dead. It’s a fun time. There’s music playing and the place sort of hugs you when you come in. In New York, people who love the Grateful Dead would travel from all over.”…
