Louisiana man charged in connection with three residential ‘kick-in’ burglaries

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Louisiana man is accused of taking close to $40,000 worth of items from three homes in Livingston Parish on the same day.

Rashon Sterling, 26, of Lafayette, was charged with three counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and one count of simple burglary of a vehicle.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said “kick-in” burglaries occurred at homes in Denham Springs, Livingston, and Holden on Jan. 23 in which a purse, coins, rare bills, guns, and safes were taken…
