EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Fort Bliss organization that plays a key role in Army modernization efforts has a new commanding officer.
Brig. Gen. Jennifer Mykins took over as commander of the U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command during a change-of-command ceremony Friday, Aug. 7 at Noel Field. The ceremony was hosted by Lt. Gen. Michael McCurry, the commander of Futures and Concepts Command.
After serving as the JMC commander from 2025-2026, Brig. Gen. Daniel Hibner handed over the reins to Mykins. Just prior to the change-of-command ceremony, Mykins was promoted from colonel to brigadier general in a ceremony also hosted by McCurry…
