Man charged after allegedly driving, speeding on bike path

DENVER (KDVR) — A man has been charged in connection with an incident where a car was seen speeding on a bike path in the Davidson Mesa area, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, around 1:38 p.m., a car was seen traveling towards Boulder in the Davidson Mesa area on a bike path alongside the north side of U.S. Highway 36.

Deputies said they estimated the car was traveling at a speed of up to 50 miles per hour, creating a “significant safety risk” for anyone on the path.
