Police chase on AR interstate ends in arrest, 2 people hurt

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man and woman driving on an Arkansas interstate were seriously injured when a state trooper performed a maneuver on a fleeing driver, causing his vehicle to collide with theirs.

Arkansas State Police say Laloyd Hamilton III, 23, was being stopped by a trooper for a traffic violation around 7 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 555 near Trumann.

Hamilton allegedly failed to stop, and accelerated his Hyundai Sonata to approximately 130 mph, initiating a vehicle pursuit.
