San Bernardino will be allowed to remove homeless encampments, litter, and debris along state highways within its borders.
The city has joined the California Department of Transportation’s Encampment Delegated Maintenance Agreement, which effectively hands those duties over to San Bernardino, according to a statement on the city’s website.
