The ribbon had barely been cut before children on bikes and scooters began heading down Saline’s newest trail.
Families, city officials and Saline Parks & Recreation supporters gathered at Mill Pond Park Aug. 8 to celebrate the opening of the Saline River Valley Trail, then did exactly what the trail was built for: They went out and used it.
For Saline Parks & Recreation Director Sunshine Lambert, the morning marked the payoff after years of planning.
