EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) – A 61-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to meet someone he believed to be a 16-year-old male, according to an arrest report.
Authorities identified the suspect as Eric Anders. He faces charges of indecent behavior with juveniles, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, and human trafficking.
Multi-agency task force investigation
The investigation involved a task force made up of members of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the Baton Rouge Police Department, and Louisiana State Police.
According to the arrest report, task force investigators created a fake social media account on May 13, 2026, depicting an 18-year-old male due to the platform’s age requirements. Authorities said Anders reached out to the account and was told he was speaking with a 16-year-old male.
Alleged conversations with authorities
The arrest report states Anders engaged in conversations at least three times with undercover task force members posing as the 16-year-old.
